The Department of English Language and Literature seeks to help students develop skills in critical thinking, writing and communication through the study of literature, language, rhetoric, creative writing and publishing. Our faculty have a broad range of professional expertise in the study of literature, language and writing. Our professors have won awards as prestigious as fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment of the Arts.
