Assistant Professor in Spanish

The English & Modern Languages Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish, specialization open, with a focus in Spanish writing or translation. Appointment begins in the 2020-2021 academic year. In addition to specialized writing courses and/or translation courses, the successful candidate will teach literature, culture, linguistics, or Spanish language courses, depending on specialization. We seek someone interested in program building in the area of writing and/or translation in a Spanish B.A. program with high heritage-speaker enrollment. As a faculty member in a blended department, the successful candidate will also teach occasional specialized writing and translation courses in English as part of the English B.A. and M.A. programs. Ph.D. in Spanish, Comparative Literature, or related field required at time of appointment.
