American Literature, Folklore, or British Literature Faculty

The Department of English at Brigham Young University announces four continuing faculty status (tenure) track, professorial positions in either American Literature, Folklore, or British Literature. A PhD in English or a related field is required and must be completed by August 2021. Candidates must have collegiate-level literature and composition instruction experience.
 
Primary responsibilities include teaching core English courses, American literature, British literature, or folklore courses. Faculty must maintain an active research program, including scholarly publications, and serve on department, college, and/or university committees.

These position may be filled with a one-year visiting appointment. In lieu of scholarship and citizenship expectations, a visiting instructor has an increased teaching load.
