Assistant Professor of English (composition and rhetoric)

The English Department at Eastern Illinois University invites applications for a tenure-track position in composition and rhetoric at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach composition and rhetoric in our MA program, general education courses including first-year writing, and other undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in an area of additional specialization.

A doctorate in English with specialization in composition and rhetoric is required by time of appointment. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required. All areas of secondary specialization are welcome.
