Peters Rushton, Visiting Assistant Professor, Department of English

The Department of English at the University of Virginia invites applications for the Peters Rushton Visiting Assistant Professor position. We seek a scholar in the fields of contemporary American or British Literature with specialties in any genre. We welcome candidates whose work engages transnational contexts, critical race and gender theory, film and media studies, or the environment. The holder of this position will teach two undergraduate classes per semester, with the possibility of a graduate course, take part in departmental service, and make a public presentation. The department will select a candidate who can contribute, through their publications, teaching, public presentation, and service, to the diversity and excellence of a top-ten department of English.

This is a one-year visiting Assistant Professor position (with the possibility of renewing for a second year pending funding approval).
