Assistant Professor of English (20th and 21st Century Asian American Literature)

   The English Department at Colorado College seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor with expertise in 20th- and 21st-century Asian American literature to begin in the fall of 2020. Applicants should be prepared to teach a range of courses on 20th- and 21st-century American literature featuring key works and authors within an expansive liberal arts curriculum, including one of two departmental gateway courses: Introduction to Poetry or Introduction to Literary Theory. Applicants are encouraged to highlight their ability to teach one of these courses, alongside a record of excellence in scholarship and undergraduate teaching, in their cover letter.Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students who represent a broad spectrum of classes, genders, races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, and religions. PhD in English, Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, or Race, Ethnicity and Migration Studies required by time of appointment.
