Faculty Associate (ROM)

The School of International Letters & Cultures (SILC) at Arizona State University (Tempe Campus) invites applications for Faculty Associates to teach online sections of an upper division course, entitled Dracula and Vampire Lore. Faculty Associate positions are one semester appointments, part-time, non-benefits eligible with no tenure implications. 
The successful candidate will be comfortable using online-specific learning, teaching and assessment tools (such as e-reader and interactive assessment platforms) and communication technologies, to prepare and deliver class materials, evaluate student work, and hold online office hours to assist students for the 2021-22 academic year. 

Anticipated start date is Spring 2022 (Session B).

Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in appropriate discipline by time of appointment.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness in related curriculum.
• Relevant post-secondary teaching experience.

Desired Qualifications
• Terminal degree in appropriate discipline by time of appointment.
• Experience teaching asynchronously.
• Demonstrated success meeting the needs of diverse student populations and/or reaching out to diverse communities
