Assistant Professor of English, Tenure Track

The Department of English at Samford University invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor of English in nineteenth-century British, Anglophone, or European literature and culture, beginning August 2020. This tenure-track position carries a 3-3 teaching load; teaching will include introductory and advanced courses in the field of specialization, as well as courses in general education and in the core curriculum program, which covers writing and the history of ideas. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a record of peer-reviewed scholarship and excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. in English or a closely-related field is required at the time of appointment.
