The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures and the Spanish Program at the University of South Carolina (http://artsandsciences.sc.edu/dllc/) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Contemporary Spanish Literature and Cultural Studies at https://uscjobs.sc.edu/postings/106898. We seek a scholar with an interdisciplinary research agenda on Contemporary Spain (20th-21st centuries). Individuals with research interests in such areas as Film and Media Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, or Migration Studies are especially encouraged to apply. 

The position requires a Ph.D. in Spanish or related field in hand by August 16, 2022, at least 4 semesters of experience teaching at the college level as either instructor of record or graduate teaching assistant and native or near-native command of both Spanish and English. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to our growing PhD program in Spanish. Teaching responsibilities include two courses per semester, with assignments in a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Spanish.
