Assistant Instructor - First Year Composition (FYC)

The Department of English invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full time Assistant Professor of Instruction position in First Year
Composition. This is a permanent nine-month, full-time teaching appointment. Teaching load is 4/4 (12 hours per semester).


QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in English with a focus in Rhetoric and Composition (or related field) by August 8, 2022 from an Accredited institution and
three years of experience teaching composition at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching upper-level undergraduate writing courses
Evidence of teaching innovations and accomplishments
Experience teaching in multiple modalities (including online and hybrid)
Experience with writing program assessment and evaluation
Experience in writing program or related areas of administration
