Lafayette College’s Writing Program invites applications for an Associate Director of Writing Associates to begin on the first of August, 2022. This is a full-time renewable position on an eleven month contract. The position requires hiring, training, and administering a staff of roughly 55 undergraduate writing associates who embed in writing-intensive courses across the curriculum. The Associate Director will also coordinate and promote writing associate drop-in hours, facilitate student workshops, and engage in programmatic assessment efforts. The position requires teaching one course per year in the English department, including an introduction to composition and rhetoric course. The position is part of the College Writing Program, which works with writing across the curriculum and the first-year seminar program. The Associate Director of Writing Associates will report to the Director of the College Writing Program.

Qualifications: A PhD in composition, writing, and rhetoric studies or in a related discipline is strongly preferred, as is experience in writing program administration. ABDs considered. Candidates must have experience in the teaching of writing and dedication to inclusive pedagogical practices. The salary and benefits are competitive.
