Teaching Faculty Positions - English

The Department of English at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for full-time teaching faculty positions (non-tenure-track). The start date for these positions is August 2022.  

Job Duties include teaching introductory undergraduate resident courses in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric. The position typically teaches seven courses each year. 

A Master’s degree or higher in a related field is required. In addition, the successful candidate must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.  

 

These are one-year, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until all of the positions are filled.

This position may require the following three (3) publicly available clearances identified below or a standard background check:

• PA State Police Criminal Background Check

• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form

• FBI Criminal Background Check as well as NSOR registry certification.
