Assistant Professor Creative Writing - Poetry

The Macalester College Department of English invites applications for a tenure-track position in Creative Writing--Poetry, at the rank of Assistant Professor. We especially welcome applicants who have a secondary interest in creative nonfiction. The successful candidate will join a renowned and collegial faculty in a department with a thriving Creative Writing program, teach students at all levels from introductory courses to senior honors projects, and have ample opportunities for new course development. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with a commitment to teaching students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We require a completed MFA or PhD in Creative Writing, along with a book of poetry, published or under contract with a press of national standing. Beginning Fall 2023.
