Postdoctoral Fellow in Digital Studies

The Digital Studies Institute at the University of Michigan invites candidates for the inaugural DSI Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. This is a 12-month term-limited position beginning 9/1/20 with the possibility of renewal for a second 12-month term. The DSI is a recently launched interdisciplinary institute focused on supporting cutting-edge and vigorous research into a wide range of facets in digital culture, such as algorithm studies, gaming and/or social media studies, digital media, etc.

Applications are welcome from scholars with demonstrated research expertise in digital studies and who are at the beginning of their academic careers, having received the Ph.D.  This is an ideal opportunity for a scholar with interest in race, gender, sexuality, and digital technologies, algorithmic bias and inequality, and social media and/or gaming culture. We welcome applications from a wide range of disciplines. Applications from recipients of the Ph.D. from the University of Michigan are welcome.  Non-US citizens may apply.
