Full-time Lecturer in Italian Studies

The Department of Francophone, Italian and Germanic Studies (FIGS) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in Italian Studies beginning in Fall 2023. This is a one-year (non-tenure track) position with possibility of annual renewal for up to an additional two years, contingent upon satisfactory performance and approval of the Dean.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach six courses in Italian language and culture at all levels per year, in an undergraduate program committed to dynamic and inclusive language instruction.  Native or near-native proficiency in English and Italian, teaching experience at the university level, and excellent teaching credentials are required. Candidates must be in possession of a M.A. degree in Italian or in a related field.
