The Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of French, to enhance a successful and dynamic program in French, to begin 17 August 2020. We are looking for a generalist, with some expertise in medieval literature preferred. 

 

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in French in hand by June 1.  Native or near-native fluency in French and English is required.  Candidates should demonstrate clear evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and research with the ability to teach language, literature, and civilization at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and also the interpersonal skills and collegiality necessary to help maintain a strong French program.
