Lecturer

The Department of English at the University of North Texas seeks applicants for two continuing Lecturer positions in the First-Year Writing Program. These positions are full-time, renewable 3-year appointments and include benefits. Typical responsibilities for the position include teaching four courses each semester, primarily in first-year writing, to a diverse and growing student population.

Successful candidates will join a diverse, collaborative, internationally recognized group of colleagues in the Department of English. We value creativity and are committed to teaching and mentoring students from UNT'ss rapidly changing student demographic.

The position offers the possibility of course releases for administrative assignments.

Preferred qualifications include leadership experience in a writing program and administrative experience with online writing instruction, teaching with technology, or developmental writing. Minimum qualifcatons for the positon include a PhD in English or closely related field and demonstrated excellence in teaching first-year writng instrncton
