Assistant Professor of French Linguistics

Full-time, tenure-track position beginning August 2020, to teach undergraduate and graduate French language and linguistics courses. Teaching load of two courses per semester. The ideal candidate will have a primary specialization in French sociolinguistics with focus either on European French or French in Francophonie. Ability to teach courses in French phonology desirable. PhD in Linguistics or French Linguistics required by August 15, 2020. Candidates should have native or near-native command of French and English; a proven record in both research and teaching; a commitment to undergraduate as well as graduate instruction and curricular development; and a desire to participate in the liberal arts programming of the College of Arts and Sciences.
