Assistant Professor - German and Cultural Studies

The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultural Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track position in German, beginning Fall 2020, at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate is a generalist with interest in the areas of literature and cultural studies. Proven success in teaching German at the college level is required. Teaching load is 3-4 and will include elementary language classes and upper-level courses in language, literature, and cultural studies. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in German. Ph.D. required upon beginning appointment. Applicants should submit a letter, CV, summary of teaching evaluations from current or recently taught courses, three letters of recommendation, and graduate transcripts.
