Lecturer in English

Norwich University's Department of English and Communications invites applications for an anticipated full-time renewable Lecturer in English, beginning August 2019, to teach ten courses per academic year, the majority of which will be service classes such as first-year composition.

In addition to teaching first-year composition, the successful candidate will have the occasional opportunity to teach literature courses such as Survey of British Literature II or an upper-level course in Victorian literature.

Lecturers do not have advising responsibilities and are not expected to serve on committees. Generous funds to support professional development are available.


Requirements:
Minimum qualifications include a PhD by the start date and documented expertise and experience teaching first-year writing and courses in Victorian literature.
