Description

The Department of English at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position specializing in Chicanx/Latinx literature and culture, with an expected start date of July 1, 2020. Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, or advanced status in a PhD or equivalent international degree-granting program is required at the time of application. We have a strong preference for candidates who already hold the PhD or equivalent international degree, or who will complete their degree prior to the appointment start date. Individuals should submit their application at this level if they meet one of the following conditions: Current or recent PhD candidate or graduate; current or recent postdoc; current assistant professor (including those who are “senior” assistant professors near tenure).
