Job Title: Assistant Professor of English, Digital Humanities, Tenure-Track

The English Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) seeks a specialist in Digital Humanities (DH) for a tenure-track position. Sub-specialty open; please define clearly on CV. Teaching experience and a promising research agenda required. Ability to teach DH methods courses that apply to students in all areas of English Studies in our department is required (literature, rhetoric, education). The successful candidate will be able to theorize and historicize digital tools and/or modes of analysis and will demonstrate a DH research focus. The successful candidate will contribute new courses to the department’s existing curriculum and will teach undergraduate courses fall and spring semesters in areas of specialization, including senior seminars, and other undergraduate courses addressing departmental need. Teaching load is 2/3; 2/2 in the first year. A Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric/Composition, or a closely related field in hand by July 2020 is required.
