Assistant Professor, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures (Spanish)

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for a one to three year term faculty position to begin August 2021.  The successful candidate will teach across the curriculum and be committed to actively involving undergraduates in research. The ideal applicant should have native or near native proficiency in Spanish and English; undergraduate and graduate study in the field of Spanish linguistics and one or more of the following specializations: Second Language Acquisition (Spanish); the Use of Technology in Language Pedagogy (Spanish); Instructional Technology.

Required Skills and Experience:

 

A Ph.D. in Spanish Applied Linguistics or a related field is strongly recommended.  ABDs with a defense date by spring 2021 will be considered.  Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level as well as scholarly research.

 

Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
