Visiting Faculty Position in Japanese at Bennington College, Spring 2021

Bennington College invites applications for a one-term sabbatical replacement in Japanese to begin February 14, 2021. Responsibilities include teaching three innovative courses in Japanese literature and/or culture at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, as well as organizing extra-curricular activities. Candidates must have native/near-native proficiency in Japanese and English. Training and experience in Japanese language and culture pedagogy are expected. PhD preferred, though ABDs and strong candidates with MAs will be considered.
