Visiting Assistant Professor in German

ST. NORBERT COLLEGE, De Pere, WI. The Modern Languages and Literatures discipline welcomes applications for a visiting assistant professor in German beginning fall 2021. This is a three-year position, which may transition into a tenure-track position if the German program grows. Candidates are expected to have their Ph.D. in hand by fall 2021, and be able to demonstrate a solid pedagogical foundation, inclusive teaching experience, excellent language skills, aptitude for program building, and an active scholarly agenda. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to teach German language, literature and civilization at all levels of an undergraduate curriculum. This position further offers the possibility of teaching a course in one’s area of expertise in English within the College’s core curriculum or as a first-year seminar course.
