Bennington College invites applications for a full-time, one-term or one-year visiting faculty position in Spanish for 2021-22.
We are seeking a generalist with broad interdisciplinary interests who is able to teach a range of content-driven Spanish courses at different linguistic levels. The term of appointment, which will depend on the visitor’s preferences and experience, will be either for the fall or for the fall and the spring academic terms, for a total of four or five courses. The ideal candidate will have evidence of excellence in teaching and creative ideas about engaging with our culturally rich, content-based Spanish curriculum directed towards proficiency. Near native command of Spanish and English is required. PhD preferred, though ABDs and strong candidates with MAs will be considered.
