Assistant Professor of English

The English Division at Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Rhetoric and Composition, Technical Communication, or TESOL. A Ph.D. in English is required. The successful candidate will contribute broadly to the department by teaching courses in our general education curriculum, as well as by developing upper-division courses in their area of specialization. The successful candidate should have experience and/or interest in innovative and inclusive pedagogies; demonstrate a record of teaching excellence in-person and online; have experience with non-traditional, first-generation, and/or traditionally underserved student populations; and show potential or demonstrate the ability for scholarship and activities that tie into student learning and experiences.
