Instructor/Assistant Professor of English/Film Studies

Winona State University invites you to join our Community of Learners as an Instructor/Assistant Professor of English/Film Studies. This position is a fixed-term/9 month appointment with an expected start date of August 16, 2021. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching Film Studies and other English courses, with an expected course load of 4/4 that would include Film Studies, first-year composition, and other courses as needed.  Additional responsibilities include (1) instructing courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs; (2) engaging in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field; (3) contributing to student growth and development including student advising; (4) providing service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community; and 5) supporting Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve. Minimum qualifications for this position are a PhD or ABD (with set completion date) in Film and Media Studies or equivalent and college teaching experience. For a complete job description and information on applying for this position, please go to https://winona.peopleadmin.com.
