Assistant Professor of German

The Department of Languages and Literatures at Oklahoma State University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of German. Specialization is open. In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, this person will be expected to teach a wide range of undergraduate classes, including elementary and intermediate language, advanced language, culture, literature, and fourth-year seminars on selected topics. Ability to teach phonetics is desirable. The successful candidate should be willing to teach from a multicultural perspective and be willing to mentor ethnically and racially underrepresented students. Ph. D. in hand by the time of appointment in August 2021.

The Department of Languages and Literatures is home to undergraduate programs in 9 languages. Oklahoma State University is a comprehensive flagship, land-grant, research institution with more than 35,000 students across its five-campus system and more than 24,000 on its combined Stillwater and Tulsa campuses.
