Assistant Professor of Spanish

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Albright College, a liberal arts college in Reading, PA, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish position beginning in Fall 2021. Teaching load is three courses per semester. 

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Spanish, ideally with a concentration/specialization in Latin American Literature/Culture from an accredited institution.  We seek candidates with a strong record and commitment to teaching excellence at the college level.  The candidate will teach primarily introductory/intermediate language courses as well as literature and culture courses in the Spanish major/minor.  Experience addressing the needs of heritage speakers of Spanish is highly desirable. The candidate must have native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English.
