Tenure Track Assistant Professor in American Literature with expertise in LatinX Literatures

The Department of English at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in American Literature with expertise in Latinx Literatures.  Appointment begins August 2020.

Course assignments may include: undergraduate writing, business communication, core curriculum literature, American Literature surveys, upper-level courses in American and Latinx Literatures. Preference given to individuals with teaching, research experience, and research agenda in these fields. Experience in film studies or digital humanities is a secondary preference.

The committee requests:

 * cover letter

* curriculum vitae, including a list of the number of sections taught for each course (e.g. ENG 233 American Literature to 1865– two sections taught). 

*dossier (including unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and at least three current letters of recommendation that attest to successful teaching).

*teaching statement on teaching philosophy, methods, and effectiveness

*research statement about intended future research activity. 

*diversity statement on how the candidate has or can contribute to diversity in teaching, research, or service.

Normal teaching load is three courses per semester.  Ph.D. in Latinx Literature, American Literature, American Studies, or related field required by start date.
