The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures is seeking to appoint a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor in Portuguese language and Luso-Brazilian culture in a dynamic and growing undergraduate program committed to innovation and teaching excellence.  This position is renewable, with satisfactorily excellent performance, beginning in August 2020.  The normal teaching schedule will be four courses each semester.
 
Native to near-native proficiency in Portuguese and English required, as is significant experience teaching Portuguese courses at the university level.  MA in Portuguese linguistics, language pedagogy, or related field is required, PhD preferred; Native to near native proficiency in Spanish and ability to teach beginning and/or intermediate Spanish-language classes highly desirable
