Tenure-Track Assistant Professor: Contemporary Transnational/Multicultural Literature
The Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for the position of full-time tenure-track assistant professor of contemporary transnational/multicultural literature, with a preferred secondary specialization in media studies. Candidates for the position must show evidence of strong college teaching, a commitment to serving a diverse student population, and clear potential for ongoing scholarly publication. We particularly welcome applications from candidates who will advance the Department’s goal of fostering diversity through scholarship, teaching, and service. Tenure-track faculty with active research agendas teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants must have PhD in hand by the time of appointment, which begins on August 15, 2020.
