The Department of Spanish and Italian at Sewanee: The University of the South invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Italian and Spanish to begin August 2021. Successful candidates must possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish, Italian, and English, and demonstrate evidence of effective language teaching. The teaching load for this position is six courses per year. The selected candidate will be expected to teach courses at the beginning and intermediate levels in both Italian and Spanish. Candidates must have an MA or Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment.
