The Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at Harvard University is seeking applications for a College Fellow in German Literature and Culture. Teaching duties include providing three undergraduate courses, determined based on curricular need. At least two of those courses will be conducted in German. Examples of recent courses are: "German Literature, Culture, and Society," “Crossing Borders in 20th and 21st-Century German Culture” and "Germany and Europe." The Fellow may also be asked to teach German for Reading Knowledge. Twenty-five percent of the appointment is reserved for the Fellow's own research. The Fellow may also advise and evaluate senior theses. The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year.

A doctorate or terminal degree in German or related discipline is required by the expected start date, and must have been received no earlier than 2017.
