Assistant Professor in Latinx Film and Literature

The Baruch College English department invites applications for a tenure-track position in Latinx Film and Literature at the assistant professor rank. Job applicants must have a PhD by the fall of 2021, with a scholarly emphasis on Latinx film and/or media, as well as expertise in Latinx literature more broadly. Teaching opportunities will include courses in Latinx film and literature and other related subjects, including more general film and media studies classes, Great Works of Literature (our world literature requirement), and First-Year Writing.

Duties include:

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
