Instructor - Spanish

The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at the University of Alabama invites applications for two non-tenure-earning, full-time Spanish instructor positions to begin August 16, 2021. These are renewable appointments of up to three years (annual renewal based upon satisfactory performance review, staffing needs, and funding). Each successful applicant will teach undergraduate Spanish courses at first through third-year levels, with service. Specific assignments will be needs-based and may include course coordination.

Successful candidates must possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English and must demonstrate successful teaching at the university level. Preference will be  given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Spanish in hand by August 15, 2021, and who have an ongoing research agenda.
