Lecturer in Discipline

The Department of Classics at Columbia University invites applications for a Lecturer in Discipline to begin July 1, 2021. The Lecturer in Discipline will teach one course each semester and will serve as Associate Director for the Stavros Niarchos Public Humanities Initiative, reporting to the Director of the Institute for Ideas and Imagination and in close association with the Director of the Program in Hellenic Studies. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include working to administer, develop, and ensure the continued impact of the Stavros Niarchos Public Humanities Initiative. This will be a two-year appointment from 07/01/2021 to 06/30/2023. PhD required. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
