Assistant Teaching Professor

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Villanova University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor beginning August 2021. The professor selected will be teaching language courses, and the  area of specialization is open with preference in Spanish Studies or Linguistics. Ph. D. and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English are required.

The candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching language at the Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced levels. In addition to teaching, the candidate’s responsibilities will include departmental service, organizing extracurricular activities, and student mentoring.

The area of specialization is Spanish Studies or Linguistics. PhD and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English are required.
