Visiting Assistant Professor position in Creative Writing—Poetry

The Faculty of English Language and Literature at the University of Tulsa invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Creative Writing—Poetry to begin August 2021.

The University offers an undergraduate track in the major for creative writing, as well as a minor. Teaching responsibilities include introductory classes in creative writing, as well as intermediate and advanced classes in poetry writing.

Requirements include a terminal degree (MFA or PhD) in creative writing, a strong teaching history, and record of publication. Work as an editor is a plus.

A dossier including transcripts, a maximum 20-page writing sample, two letters of recommendation (with at least one addressing teaching), and sample syllabi (one introductory and one intermediate poetry), should be submitted online at the link above by May 25, 2021.
