Visiting Assistant Professor of German
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Lafayette College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of German for the academic year 2021–2022. We seek a generalist with expertise in an interdisciplinary field such as film and media studies, race and migration, transnational literature, environmental or medical humanities, or gender and sexuality, who will teach German language, literature, and culture courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum, and who is expected to participate in extracurricular language/culture activities. Native or near-native proficiency in German and English as well as a Ph.D. at the time of appointment are required. This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load. The appointment will begin August 16, 2021. Salary and benefits are very competitive.
