Assistant or Associate Professor of English, African American Literature

Spelman College’s Department of English is searching for an assistant or associate professor of African American literature with a specialization in one or more of the following secondary areas: Afrofuturism/speculative fiction, digital humanities, gender and sexualities studies, transatlantic studies, and/or African diasporic studies. Responsibilities include teaching a 3-3 load in the English major, minor, and general education core. Active department and college-level service is expected.  The application deadline is November 11, 2019.
