Visiting Assistant Professor of French. The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University at Albany, State University of New York, invites applications for a one-year position of Visiting Assistant Professor of French, renewable for an additional year. The position carries a 2-3 course load and includes directing the program (scheduling and supervision of adjuncts, advising of minors and interdisciplinary majors in French, oversight of student activities, curriculum development, etc.).

We seek candidates with solid pedagogical training and native or near-native French and English to teach advanced undergraduate courses in language and culture, as well as general education courses in English. The expectation is for in-person instruction. The successful candidate will teach the third-year capstone course, Introduction to Global French Studies, as well as special topics relating to francophone cultures, especially outside France. PhD in hand required at the time of appointment.
