Assistant Professor of English - Literary Studies

Hendrix College invites applications for a two-year term position for an Assistant Professor of English-Literary Studies to begin in August 2021. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. Doctorate is preferred; ABD will be considered. This position involves a 3-3 teaching load. The first year of this position splits the teaching load between composition and introductory literature courses (in the faculty's genre/area of focus), and the second year of this position involves teaching a range of composition and introductory/advanced literature courses in area of specialization.
