Adjunct, German

The Department of Liberal Arts at the Juilliard School seeks applicants for an adjunct faculty position to teach first-year courses in German.  Ideal candidates will have experience of successful teaching (at least three years of teaching experience as instructor of record). 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach two courses per year. A Masters degree is required, Ph.D. preferable. Contracts renew on an annual basis.  

Applicants should submit:   

1. a letter of interest that includes a brief discussion of teaching experience and approaches to teaching and research   

2. a curriculum vitae   

 

All materials should be received by July 1, 2021. Late applications may be considered until the position is filled. After an initial review, some applicants will be asked to submit letters of recommendation, and a writing sample. Finalists will be asked to perform a teaching demonstration. Interviews will be held by videoconference. Receipt of materials will be acknowledged by email.
