Assistant/Associate Professor

Applicants sought for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of assistant or associate professor in Asian American studies in a humanities discipline, to begin in fall of 2022.  We will prioritize candidates who have a research profile in literary, film, performance, or cultural studies.  This will be a jointly appointed position in Asian American Studies—which is housed in the Program in Race, Migration, and Indigeneity—and another department to serve as the tenure home.  The ideal candidate will most likely be housed in American Studies, but we are open to other placements and welcome applications from scholars trained across a wide range of humanities-based disciplines.  PhD in hand by August 1, 2022.  The teaching load is 2/2 with course assignments evenly split between the two units.  The successful applicant will teach introductory, upper-division, and graduate courses in Asian American studies as well as more general courses that contribute to both units.
