The University of Toledo Department of English Language and Literature invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Creative Writing. Preferred candidates will have expertise in at least two genres of creative writing, including but not limited to fiction, poetry, or creative nonfiction. Further preferred qualifications include experience mentoring first generation and underrepresented minority college students. The candidate must have a record of publishing in creative writing, demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, and will have earned a terminal degree (MFA or PhD) in Creative Writing by the time of the appointment. Duties will include teaching undergraduate courses in creative writing, other English courses, and general education courses.
