Professor of the Practice in Playwriting

The English Department at Boston University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position in Playwriting at the rank of Professor of the Practice, starting July 1, 2022, that includes the directorship and administration of the M.F.A. Program in Playwriting along with the teaching of playwriting.  Broad experience in theatre collaboration, dramaturgy, and the workshopping and production of new plays is needed.

Successful candidates must have either a Ph.D. or M.F.A. in Theatre/Playwriting (or substantial professional experience in the workshopping of new plays) in hand by time of appointment and be prepared for teaching duties at the undergraduate and graduate level.
