Assistant Professor in Japanese literature and/or related humanities fields

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University seeks to make a tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor in Japanese literature and/or related humanities fields who concentrates in any period from the premodern to the modern, to begin July 1, 2022. We encourage applications from scholars with any area of specialization, including those whose work traverses multiple East Asian languages and/or is comparative in method. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree at time of hire.
