TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ENGLISH

Centre College invites applications for a tenure-track position in English with a specialization in postcolonial and/or transnational literatures, to begin in August 2022. Desirable secondary interests include, but are not limited to: African diaspora, Asian diaspora, and Native American literatures. The successful candidate will also contribute to our general education curriculum.  The program strongly encourages applications from candidates who have experience teaching and mentoring a diverse student body.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in a student-centered environment. Special consideration will be given to candidates committed to using/developing inclusive pedagogies, mentoring student research, and supporting students beyond the classroom. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree by the start of their appointment.
